1993

First contact between Marco Giavazzi and Herbert Krebser (landowner and manager of the estate). At that time, Herbert Krebser could not imagine a golf course on his facility.

1998

After careful consideration - also within the family - Herbert Krebser decides to take the big step towards the world of golf.

2001

In June, the golf project is presented at the community meeting and approved with a clear majority.

2004

Completion of the planning team around the Kloten engineering office Stephan + Kunz + Partner AG (SKP) and Dream Golf as well as AG Natur und Landschaft (ANL).

2005

In the autumn, Christian Bazzell was won over as an important investor.
Approval for the design plan came as an early Christmas present. Everyone involved was happy and there was a beautiful celebration!

2006

The stock corporation "Golf Training Park Augwil AG" was founded by the shareholders Herbert Krebser, Christian Bazzell and Marco Giavazzi. While waiting for the building permit, Christian Bazzell successfully searched for further investors. The Board of Directors of the AG was completed with Roberto Panzera and finally Peter Wick.

2007

Official opening ceremony. The public facility of the Augwil Golf Training Park consists of a 3-hole course, a pitching/chipping and putting area as well as a driving range, which consists of 32 covered and 20 outdoor tees.

At the same time, a cooperation agreement was concluded with Vivian Ross, who acted as head of the Vivian Ross Golf Academy from 2007-2009.

2009

Submission of the draft report on the expansion of the course to 9 holes to the building department of the Canton of Zurich. Creation of the design plan and clarification of the approval process.

2010

Application for a revision of the structure and use plan, obtaining the consent of the landowners. Preparation of the environmental impact report, agreements with the hunting societies, pro natura, Birdlife Zurich and protection associations, preparation of the archaeological surveys and many, many other administrative procedures, meetings, supplementary reports, file requirements, letters, applications, appeal deadlines "sit out"...

2011

At the extraordinary community meeting, which took place in the Lufingen school building, our motion to change the municipal structure plan, to municipal usage planning and to the private design plan, expansion to 9 holes was accepted with 183 yes to 97 no votes.

2012

Submission of the building permit application for the long-awaited 9-hole course to the city of Kloten and the municipality of Lufingen.

After a long time of worrying, after surviving countless waiting periods, after setbacks that were assumed at short notice, the building permit for our expansion project "golf course extension to 9 holes" has become legally effective. This confirmation took place on 18.11. by the cantonal building appeals court and was based on the fact that the 06.11. expired appeal period without objections. In order to celebrate this achievement, we invited all our members who had been admitted up to that point on December 7th at 11:30 a.m. to the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony.

On 11/12 The Board of Directors of Golf Trainings-Park Augwil AG founded the Augwil Golf Club association.

2013

20.06.2013: BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTION!!! after an unexpectedly long and cold winter, which made an earlier start impossible.

On 04/23 the first board of directors of the Augwil golf club was elected during the general meeting.

On 09.01. The board of directors of GTPA AG decides to award the expansion of the space, including irrigation, to Tisatec GmbH.

2014

From April 26th, free play for members on the first four holes

From August 1st, members and guests are allowed to play holes 1 to 4 and 6 to 9; Hole 5 cannot (yet) be released due to the weather.

2015

All 9 Holes are open to Play!

2022

The New Clubhouse will be built and should be finished in March 2023
